Sleek Intel Arc Alchemist reference designs leak in hands-on photos and renders
Moore's Law Is Dead has shared more images of Intel's upcoming Arc Alchemist graphics cards. Previously, the YouTuber has leaked renders of a reference design card and images of an engineering sample. Now, they claim to have received actual photos of two cards, embedded below.
Both cards share the same design, although it is unclear if Intel plans to sell reference models. For example, AMD showcases RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT reference designs on its website. However, the company includes the caveat that these are 'artistic product renderings'; in other words, they are illustrative. Hence, we would not be surprised if Intel did the same with the single-fan model.
Incidentally, the photo of the dual-fan card corroborates the renders that Moore's Law is Dead leaked earlier this month. As VideoCardz discusses, the card's board appears to be a later revision of the engineering sample that the YouTuber leaked in May. Intel continues to equip it with 6-pin and 8-pin power connectors though, rather than the newer PCIe 5.0 power connector.
Rumour has it that these desktop graphics cards will debut in Q2 2022, with mobile options arriving a quarter earlier. The smaller of the two shown is thought to utilise a DG2-128EU (Execution Unit) GPU and the larger one a DG2-512EU GPU.
