An impressive reveal trailer has been released for the upcoming game Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The latest title in the famous franchise is scheduled for September 14 and will be available on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms. The action adventure has been developed by Eidos-Montréal and Crystal Dynamics and will be published by Square Enix.

A cinematographic trailer for Shadow of the Tomb Raider has been revealed, and it shows Lara Croft deep in the jungle fighting off heavily armed foes while making her way to a hidden Mayan complex. There is a more mature feel to the latest title in the Tomb Raider series, as Lara mercilessly slays her opponents while seeking out new tombs to infiltrate. A very early hands-on review of the game appears to be positive, with the title offering the kind of explore/survive/fight/puzzle combination that fans of the series enjoy.

The game has been a collaborative effort between Eidos-Montréal and Crystal Dynamics. The latter developer has been involved in Tomb Raider games since 2006’s Tomb Raider: Legend, while Eidos-Montréal’s first effort for the series was creating the multiplayer mode for Tomb Raider (2013). The latest title will be published by Square Enix, which owns both of the aforementioned studios.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will have a single-player mode and co-op mode, and it will be released on September 14, 2018, for the Xbox One X, Xbox One, PS4, PS4 Pro, and PC. Four editions will be available: Standard, Digital Deluxe, Croft, and Ultimate (see images below for details).
