Sensational DualShock 5 controller concept video will have expectant PlayStation 5 owners giddy with anticipation

While the PlayStation 5 console is still hogging a lot of console-related news, it’s important to also remind ourselves of the upcoming DualShock 5 controller and what kind of utility it could offer gamers. Fortunately, Giuseppe Spinelli (“Snoreyn”) and LetsGoDigital have published a beautiful concept video of the DualShock 5 (you can watch it below), and it shows the sort of controller every gamer will want bundled with their brand-new PS5.

Although there was some concern about the seemingly chunky handles of the DualShock 5 controller spotted with some PS5 devkits recently, the controller in the video certainly has an ergonomic look to it, even if it is bristling with buttons, sticks, and various other controls. There’s the usual set of buttons that we would expect to see on a DualShock controller, and improved haptics and the above-mentioned adaptive triggers have already been confirmed to be part of the DualShock 5. The controller in the concept video is quite customizable, and it includes a profiling system for accessing the right controls for your favorite PS5 game.

Sony has already unveiled the DualShock 4 back button attachment, but the DualShock 5 concept goes further. Its base features removable back paddles, and the “honeycomb grips” will prevent sweaty hand slippage during intense gaming. A control remapping system is also onboard, and there’s even an audio panel for making quick sound changes. It’s a wonderful concept controller, and it would likely offer the PS5 yet another huge selling point, in case the next-gen console was getting short of those.
