In the mood for a little mystery? If so then Seagate’s latest tease will likely pique your interest. According to a report by The Register, the American company will soon be unveiling a product that will work hand in hand with your latest tablet device.
According to Seagate, the new device will be “the perfect companion” for iPads and other tablets and will be the first of its kind to hit the market. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much all the info that Seagate’s decided to make public and we’re left guessing as to what the device will actually be or do.
Seagate Technology is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of hard disk drives, so the logical assumption is that the new technology will have something to do with storage options. Seeing as we've already been introduced to an iPad compatible external drive, that idea can likely be crossed off the list. Furthermore, Seagate already has an iPad “TV Remote” app that allows control of Seagate devices over Wi-Fi connections and so we’re led to believe that the new invention will probably be something more physical.
As it stands, the device probably wouldn’t be the “first of its kind” if we managed to discover it within the span of this article. Still, we await Seagate's announcement later this month for more info.
