Samsung trademarks the name "Galaxy S6 EdgePlus"
Samsung has recently filed a trademark for the Galaxy S6 EdgePlus to the USPTO. This may simply be a quick way to protect the name, but it is more likely that the manufacturer will release an XL model of its popular Galaxy S6 Edge to the market. The trademark was apparently received just a few days ago on June 26.
According to previous rumors, the S6 EdgePlus will use a 5.7-inch dual-edge display and may have had the codename Project Zero 2. It is expected to have a 6-core Snapdragon 808 SoC with integrated LTE and Adreno 418 graphics.
Additionally, the phablet may include 3 GB RAM, 16 GB eMMC, 3000 mAh battery, and 16 MP and 5 MP rear and front cameras, respectively. The device should be shipping with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
