Samsung released the Series 9 netbooks only four months ago, and already there is a refresh. In an attempt to compete with the Macbook Air, the Korean company unveiled a new 11.6” model. In fact Netbooknews reports that pre-orderin already started on JR.com.
The 11.6” NP900X1B-A02US model sports an Intel Core i3-2357M each with a clock speed of 1.3GHz. This is the first Core i3 ULV processor. Designed specifically for ultraportables, the Core i3-2357M has two cores manufactured based on the 32nm architecture, and supports hyperthreading. The processor will be accompanied by an Intel GMA HD 3000 graphics chip.
Apart from the decent processor and graphics core, the NP900X1B-A02US comes with 2GB of memory, 64GB solid state drive space, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, USB 3.0 port and Windows 7 Home Premium.
The pre-order starts at $999 with no ETA mentioned.
