Samsung releases the OS-less NF208

Teaser
The dual-core netbook will not be available in the US

While the netbook market has been a bit down ever since the tablet market boomed, Samsung hasn’t slowed down their netbook production. After releasing 3 new netbooks earlier this year (the NC110, NC210, and NS310) another Samsung netbook has been spotted in the wild. This time it’s the previously released NF210’s little brother, although the only difference is the NF208 comes without an OS.

The NF208 comes with a powerful Dual-Core Intel Atom N550 (1.5 GHz), Integrated GMA 3150 Graphics, 2GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB HDD, Wi-Fi and a webcam. The netbook also comes with a 10.1” WSVGA display with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels, a 6 cell battery, and Samsung’s wavy “Shark” design.

The netbook will come without an OS installed; leaving it up to the user to install his own while keeping costs down. Unfortunately, the NF208 will not be available for sale in the US, since most non-OS laptops usually don’t find their way stateside.  However, users have reported purchasing it from Indonesia and Notebookitalia has spotted it online for $394
