Samsung releases teaser video, promises a showdown during IFA

Samsung release a teaser video of a possible new set of smartphones and tablets just ahead of next month’s IFA in Berlin

IFA, the global trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances, is starting in Berlin on 1st September and Sammy seems to be geared up for it totally with its arsenal. The Korean company might release at least a couple of devices –a smartphone and a tablet, during the IFA. Although a recent teaser video does not tell us much about the nature or number of devices – we took a calculated guess!

There is at least one smartphone we can assume is showed during the video in hands of a number of people seemingly happy using it. The lady at the end of video, however, seems to be holding a device large enough to be a tablet. Note that the actual devices have been replaced by glowing objects.

Now what could be these glowing devices? The tablet could be the upcoming Galaxy Tab 7-inch that will supposedly sport the next revolution in Samsung’s display technology – the high res Super AMOLED HD display. It could also be the 5.3” Galaxy Q – as speculated by Netbooknews. The smartphone is the harder to assume as the only we can think of right now is the Galaxy S2 LTE. But could these be such important products in the Samsung product line that deserve a sequential teaser video? Could the addition of just an additional connectivity (hopefully) option in the Galaxy S2 be good enough to deserve such a progressive attention? Could just an improved display on the Galaxy Tab 7” that we have already seen qualify for what Samsung mentions at the very last of the video – “Something big is coming”?

Well, if you are hoping of a surprise device that is totally new from the scratch – you are not alone! Right now though – your guess is as good as ours.
