Samsung has announced availability of two business products packing heavy specs, the ATIV Smart PC Pro 4G LTE 700TC and the Series 9 13.3” Premium Ultrabook. The former is an 11.6" tablet with AT&T 4G LTE mobile broadband, while the latter a Full HD ultrabook. Both devices come with hefty price tags of $1,599.99 and $1,899.99 respectively.
The ATIV Smart PC XE700T1C tablet is being shipped with a full-blown version of Microsoft’s Windows 8 Pro. Under the hood lies an Intel Core i5-3317U with Intel HD Graphics 4000, 4 GB DDR3 (1600MHz) RAM, and a 128 GB SSD. The 1920 x 1080 Full HD display supports Samsung’s S Pen and a detachable keyboard can also be found in the box.
Meanwhile the Series 9 Ultrabook NP900X3E comes with an Intel Core i7-3517U processor and Intel HD Graphics 4000, 4 GB DDR3 (1600MHz) RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. Samsung is calling the 1920 x 1080 display ‘SuperBright’ and claims it is up to 50 percent brighter than standard laptop screens. Also worth mentioning is the Li-Pol battery with a lifespan of 1,500 charge cycles.
Both devices boast up to 8 hours of battery life and come equipped with USB 3.0, Micro HDMI, and Bluetooth 4.0. However the ATIV Smart PC lacks a microSD slot, while the Series 9 Ultrabook is not touch-enabled.
