Samsung and Barnes & Noble launch Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK
Samsung together with their partners Barnes & Noble launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK yesterday as expected. According to the official news article published on Samsung's official global blog Samsung Tomorrow, this is "the first-ever full-featured Android tablet optimized for reading."
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK has the same specs as the original Galaxy Tab 4, but comes loaded with a lot of digital content. The slate has a rather average 7-inch display with 1,280X800 pixels and 216 ppi, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1.5 GB of memory, 8 GB of internal storage and microSD support up to 32 GB, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity, GPS with GLONASS support, while its battery can provide up to 10 hours of general usage on a single charge.
The tablet comes loaded with Android 4.4 KitKat, but also with Barnes & Noble’s Nook UI and "more than $200 in free content from the NOOK Store® including bestselling books, popular TV shows, top magazines and more."
While its regular price is $199 USD, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK can be already found in over 660 Barnes & Noble bookstores, as well as online at www.bn.com and www.nook.com for $179 USD, after a $20 USD instant rebate.
