Teaser
The X430 features decent hardware and will sell only from the Microsoft Store

The Samsung X430 notebook shipping to Korea has been chosen by the Microsoft as a Microsoft Store Exclusive product. Now for the recognition it has got from Microsoft, the X430 will come pre-installed with a Microsoft Signature Image of Windows 7. What this means is - the notebook will be free of unwanted and trialware software which are otherwise part and parcel of the general copies of the Windows 7 OS.  Additionally, you are saved the unnecessary hassle of downloading optional free Microsoft applications like Windows Live, Bing Maps 3D and Microsoft Security Essentials as they all come pre-installed with the OS.

Talking about what goes under the hood - the Samsung X430 notebook is powered by an Intel Core i3 ULV processor coupled with GeForce 310M graphics. Note that the 310M is successor of the older G210M and is perfect for a low-end notebook. It supports up to DirectX 10.1. A 500GB HDD does storage duties on the notebook and a 14-inch WXGA screen provides display. Moreover, the device has a high-end feel to it and has a glossy and smooth finish, thus adding to the visual appeal. The chiclet-style keys rise like islands out of the cream-ish base which gives a very distinct identity to each key, making it easy for the eyes to type faster. The trackpad and mouse-buttons are of the same color as the interior.

Priced at $1100, the Samsung X430 doesn’t seem overpriced considering the package. If you want one you can surely visit the online Microsoft Store and order yours as we don’t expect it to hit other retailers anytime soon.
