Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 could launch in October after all
Things may get really interesting in the high-end area of the tablet market later this year, as the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 promises to give Apple's iPad a run for the money. This slate has been in the rumor mill for a while, and it has even been spotted at Chinese certification authority TENAA and the notorious Federal Communications Commission in the United States.
The information that made it online so far revealed that Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will come in two sizes, 8-inch and 9.7-inch. Both will have AMOLED displays with the same resolution - 2,048X1,536 pixels. The processor used will be Samsung's Exynos 5433 clocked at 1.9 GHz, paired with 3 GB RAM. The slates will also have a main camera with 8 MP and 4G LTE connectivity.
While some leaks also mentioned Android 5.0 Lollipop, it would not be a surprise to see the Galaxy Tab S2 announced to ship loaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop, given the estimated launch period. There is no information about the price for now, but there will surely be more leaks until the official announcement comes out.
