Samsung Galaxy S8 Active hits GFXBench
A few weeks ago, we had the Samsung S8 Active take a trip to Geekbench. Today, though, we'll be having a look at its journey to another benchmark, GFXBench.
The S8 Active, codenamed "SM-G892A" was spotted on GFXBench, confirming the few details we previously saw at its Geekbench appearance. The S8 Active, like all devices in that line, will be a rugged, outdoors-oriented version of the regular S8. It will, according to the listing, feature a 5.4" display, with an unusual resolution of 2008 x 1080—as opposed to the 5.8" WQHD display on the S8. In fact, you'd do well to take that screen size and resolution with a grain of salt, as it sounds almost nonsensical and goes against previously reported information.
Like the S8, it will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC, and will ship with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage memory. It will carry a 12MP rear camera, 7MP selfie shooter, and Android 7.0 Nougat. It's also expected to be dust/water-proof and shatter-resistant. Wouldn't be much of a rugged phone if it weren't.
