One month after receiving its FCC certifications, the Galaxy J2 reaches Bluetooth SIG on its way to the US market.

SamMobile has just spotted a dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy handset on the website of the Bluetooth SIG certification authority earlier today. The smartphone, dubbed SM-J210F, appears to be the Galaxy J2 (2016) that was spotted clearing the FCC about a month ago.

Although Samsung did not confirm it yet, the device was also spotted on AnTuTu recently, and its benchmark results suggest that this is indeed the affordable Galaxy J2. Powered by a Spreadtrum SC8830 processor, this 4.7-inch handset has 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage and microSD support, 5 MP and 8 MP cameras, as well as a rather modest 1500 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy J2 SM-J210F is expected to hit the US market driven by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow but remains to see when. Since obtaining the Bluetooth SIG certification is usually the last step before a device gets released on the US market, this will probably happen later this month.
