Samsung Galaxy Buds 2: Details, images, and pricing of imminent ANC earbuds revealed ahead of launch
While Samsung will not present the Galaxy Note 21 series this month—or at all—the company will launch a successor to last year's Galaxy Buds Plus. The Galaxy Buds 2 will build on its predecessor's success and has now been leaked in full ahead of launch.
As revealed by Roland Quandt, the Galaxy Buds 2 will switch from the bean form of the last-gen buds, to a more oval design. The Buds 2 will, of course, be tuned by AKG. The Buds 2 will sport the same three microphones on the Buds Plus, though one would expect improved performance.
The Galaxy Buds 2 will offer IPX2 certification and Bluetooth 5.2 support. No IPX7 like on the Galaxy Buds Pro. There is active noise cancellation, however, which the Buds Plus lacked. Battery life is listed at 20 hours with ANC turned on, and 29 hours with it turned off. We expect those numbers to include case battery capacity. Speaking of cases, the Buds 2 case will grant an hour of listening time with just five minutes of charge.
The price for the package? €149.99. The Galaxy Buds Pro cost €229 in Europe but US$199 in US—no surprise, considering European prices include VAT. US pricing will likely be US$149.99, though, as Samsung has kept that pricing in that region for the Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds Plus.
Pricing on the Galaxy Buds2 is 149,99 Euro MSRP.
