Samsung Galaxy Alpha specs leak online
The device widely referred to as "Samsung Galaxy Alpha" will not be just another Galaxy S5 variant, but a whole new device. Samsung still has to officially unveil the smartphone, but UK retailer Mobilefun already listed the 32 GB model for pre-order with a price of over $900 USD.
According to the details listed by Mobilefun on the product page (which is not loading right now, unfortunately), the Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with 320 ppi and only 1,280X720 pixels resolution. The 12 MP rear camera is expected to feature autofocus and LED flash, but the phone will also have a 2.1 MP snapper in the front. In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Alpha will offer 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, micro USB, as well as GPS.
The handset will be powered by Samsung's own Exynos 5 processor and will have a metallic case, while the only colors rumored to be available on launch are black and white. The official announcement should come next week, most likely on the 11th or the 13th.
