In India, the 6-inch Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) can be pre-ordered exclusively from Amazon starting today and will be fully released in that market on January 20.

The Samsung Galaxy A8+(2018) phablet is on its way to the Indian consumers, who will be able to get their hands on it starting on January 20. However, the handset was officially launched in the country at a special event that took place today and Amazon India is already taking pre-orders.

Although this 6-inch phablet is not cheap, it comes with an IP68-rated build that uses metal and glass, and its list of specs is not bad at all: an octa-core Exynos 7885 processor, a dual front camera setup (16 MP + 8 MP) with Live Focus selfie support, 6 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, a 16 MP main camera, full support for both Samsung Gear VR and Samsung Pay. Last, but not the least, the massive Infinity Display with a screen ratio of 18.5:9 surely scores one more white ball for the Galaxy A8+ (2018). Remains to see if the 3,500 mAh battery is large enough to provide a decent autonomy.

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy A8+ (2018) is available in India online exclusively via Amazon, for a price of INR₹32,990 (roughly US$517). Although Android 8.0 Oreo has been around for a while, the Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) comes with Android 7.1 Nougat onboard, most likely due to the fact that Samsung also applied the Experience UX on top of Google's mobile operating system, and now they are still working on blending it with Oreo as well.
