With a recent comment from Richard Eric Schmidt the gossip over the Google tablet has again started. He mentioned in a function in Italy that Google would be introducing a tablet of the highest quality in six months.
This comment might point towards the much awaited Google Nexus Tablet from Mountain View. Although it is believed to be named as Nexus after their famous Android reference Smartphone but it is still not sure.
Till now all we have about this device is only rumor and according to them the tablet might be a 7inch device. It is believed to be about 7 inches as it will not be taking on iPads rather it may target the Kindle Fire tablets to give a better competition by even taking advantage of huge Google content- Google Books, YouTube and Google Music.
This device might also have the default theme, Holo which Google had earlier announced to be default for all the Android 4.0 devices. Surely this will be obviously present. Apart from that, most of other manufacturers are including 7inch tablets in their line of products. Some Rumors also say that even Apple is busy developing one 7inch mini iPad.
As per display rumor the Tablet will be having a display will be developed by Samsung and will probably be of 1024x600 pixels. It is expected to run on Ice Cream Sandwich, however if its release delays till the next Android update the rumored Jelly Bean then it might have that version too.
So as Schmidt referred to release a Google Tablet within six months so it might be available in the market before the Holiday season. The tablet is also not expected to exceed the price of $199 as it will mostly be targeting the Kindle fire which is also a low end gadget.
