With the Redmi Note 10 Pro, Xiaomi has managed to create an all-around successful mid-range phone with a focus on the display. The mid-range competition will have a hard time beating this package of features at an MSRP of less than 280 Euros (~$336).

Just last year, Xiaomi defined the display standard for the mid-range with the AMOLED panels of the Mi 10 Lite and Mi Note 10 Lite. Once again this year, the Chinese manufacturer offers an above-average panel in the affordable mid-range with the Redmi Note 10 Pro, and it's not only the spec sheet that is convincing.

Xiaomi uses a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz in its mid-range phone. Furthermore, the Chinese manufacturer specifies a peak brightness of 1,200 nits for the Redmi Note 10 Pro, although these specifications weren't completely reached in our measurements (653 cd/m², APL50: 991 cd/m²). As in every OLED display, the AMOLED Dot display in the Redmi smartphone completely turns off individual pixels, which results in an "absolute" black, and the contrast theoretically tends towards infinity. In our display measurements with the CalMAN software and a spectrophotometer, the panel of the Xiaomi smartphone proves to be very well calibrated, and it delivers very low color deviations from the sRGB color space.

Not only does the use of the Redmi Note 10 Pro benefit from the high refresh rate of 120 Hz, but also from a sampling rate of 240 Hz. As a result, the capacitive multi-touchscreen is monitored for taps up to 240 times per second (e.g. in games). The Xiaomi phone can be operated correspondingly accurately.

In addition to the AMOLED Dot display, the Redmi Note 10 Pro also convinces with a very good mid-range camera, a fast and reliable fingerprint reader, and good battery life even in 120 Hz mode, especially since charging is quite fast thanks to the included 33-watt power adapter.

We weren't able to find many weaknesses in the Redmi smartphone considering the price range of the Note 10 Pro. Nevertheless, the inexpensive mid-range phone has some points of criticism. Our review of the Xiaomi smartphone reveals the improvements that we see in the Redmi Note 10 Pro.
