The day-long sale begins August 15th with pre-order incentives. Stock consists mostly of Chinese smartphones, so be sure to check for radio and LTE compatibility with local providers.

Chinese retailer Coolicool will be reaching its 10th year of service on August 15th and what better way is there to celebrate than to hold a major 24-hour sale. A number of budget Chinese smartphones will be made more affordable by up to 50 percent off the retail price such as the Xiaomi Redmi 4, Elephone R9, LeEco Le Max 2, and Doogee Shoot 1. Additional coupons can also be applied to shave off a few more Dollars from the final price and users who pre-order will receive a free "gift" that will likely be in the form of a simple accessory.

As with any site-wide sale, it's recommended that all items be checked against other retailers since it is not uncommon for retailers to up the base MSRP before slashing prices to give the illusion of a "super sale". The Xiaomi Redmi 4, for example, will be "half off" come August 15th for just $100 USD, but the same 2 GB model is also available through Honorbuy.com for only $145 as of this writing. While still a good deal, it's certainly not as big of a savings as Coolicool would have us believe.

Coolicool is a provider for a handful of our smartphone review units including those from Oukitel, Leagoo, and THL.
