Android Police says Google may launch smartwatches codenamed "Swordfish" and "Angelfish" complete with Android Wear 2.0 software.

Having already leaked some core specifications for the upcoming Nexus smartphones, Android Police has now made public render images from for two upcoming smartwatches sporting Android Wear 2.0. Codenamed "Swordfish and "Angelfish", the source is claiming a "7 out of 10 probability value" for these render images being legit compared to "9 out of 10" on the leaked Nexus smartphones.

The higher-end "Angelfish" smartwatch is rumored to be the thicker and larger model with more features including GPS, LTE, and a heart rate sensor. A central knob can be spotted on the right alongside two recessed buttons. The new Watch Face design may be configurable to provide as much information around the main display as possible.

Meanwhile, the lower-end "Swordfish" is expected to be a smaller variant with no LTE or GPS and will be more dependent on a nearby compatible smartphone for providing relevant information. It is unknown if this model will come with a heart rate monitor as well. Its casing appears even thicker than on the Moto 360 based on the render images. It's possible that Google may market the smartwatches under the Pixel or Nexus name or something completely different.
