Redmi Buds 4 and Redmi Buds 4 Pro launched with IP54 ratings and affordable prices

Xiaomi, alongside the Redmi Note 11T series and Xiaomi Band 7, also launched the Redmi Buds 4 and Redmi Buds 4 Pro. Both earbuds offer IP54 ratings and "active noise reduction", with the Redmi Buds 4 starting at the equivalent of US$30.

At its launch event in China a few days, Xiaomi debuted a handful of new products including the Redmi Note 11T Pro phones, new RedmiBook notebooks, and the Xiaomi Band 7. In addition to those, the company also launched new TWS earbuds: the Redmi Buds 4 and Redmi Buds 4 Pro.

The Redmi Buds 4 are, of course, the cheaper and less equipped of the duo. They feature a BES2500IH chip, 10 mm drivers, "35dB active noise reduction", and two mics with AI call noise reduction. Bluetooth 5.2 is available, with support for SBC and AAC. aptX is absent, sadly. Battery life is listed at four hours with noise reduction turned on, and 20 hours with the case. Five minutes of charge is said to offer an hour of listening.

The Redmi Buds 4 Pro offer more powerful hardware, thanks to a 1565AM chip. Bluetooth 5.3 is available, with 43dB active noise reduction, SBC, AAC, and LC3 support. Battery life is listed at five hours with noice reduction turned on, and the case also provides 20 hours.

The Redmi Buds 4 start at CNY 199 (US$30), while the Redmi Buds 4 Pro are significantly more expensive at CNY 369 (US$55). Both earbuds are IP54 certified.
