Qualcomm to announce detailed specs of the Snapdragon 835 at CES
All the official information we have on the Snapdragon 835 so far is that production has started and that Samsung and Qualcomm teamed up to deliver the first mobile smartphone processor manufactured in an advanced 10 nm processing plant. Some leaks did reveal more information, however, Qualcomm officially has not confirmed any more details about their future flagship processor, which is expected to be available in the second quarter of this year.
However, we will soon know more, according to a tweet that Qualcomm posted just a few days before the old year ended. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 will not only be featured in many high-end phones this year, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be among them, but also in quite a few small form factor Windows 10 devices, which Microsoft recently called Cellular PCs during WinHEC in Shenzhen. Since Windows 10 will soon be able to run on select ARM processors from the Qualcomm's family of chips thanks to its future ARM emulation, we can expect quite a lot of devices to come with this processor in 2017.
