Pulse 14 with 3D gaming unveiled by Maingear
Maingear recently unveiled their line of new Haswell-equipped notebooks, and they've got another release lined up for today. Advertised as "the perfect gaming laptop", the new Pulse 14 joins the company's Pulse 11 as Maingear's ultraportable gaming solutions.
Featuring a 14" display with a 1600 x 900 pixel resolution, the Pulse 14 cranks out 3D gaming thanks to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M with 4GB of DDR5 RAM. Intels' 4th generation Haswell CPUs also come with the device, as a Core i7-4702MQ runs on the inside. Rounding things off, storage options on the Pulse 14 include up to 16GB of RAM and the choice between a 500GB HDD, a 1TB+32GB hybrid drive or a pair of 128GB SSDs in RAID.
Similar to the rest of Maingear's devices, the Pulse 14 has the extra caveat of no pre-installed bloatware and optional colors using the same finish that's found on many supercars. The device can currently be ordered online starting at $1,299, but shipping won't be till at least the 20th of next month.
