Pulsar and Paper Rex have announced a new limited edition colorway of the X2 CrazyLight gaming mouse. Now available for preorder, the PRX Pacific Gold Edition features an ultralight 36 g shell, 32,000 DPI, and 8K polling rate and will be available in two sizes.

Pulsar has now launched the PRX Pacific Gold Edition of its X2 CrazyLight gaming mouse, a month after introducing its new Hall effect gaming keyboard with a screen. Unlike the earlier Paper Rex collaboration, this new colorway will be produced in limited quantities and will not return once the preorder window closes.

To recap, Pulsar released the PRX Edition X2 CrazyLight in collaboration with esports team Paper Rex about five months ago, originally featuring a bold pink base with blue and purple detailing. The new PRX Pacific Gold Edition keeps that colorful pink theme but swaps in orange and black patterns, along with gold accents on the buttons. For the first time, the X2 CrazyLight variant will also be offered in both mini and medium sizes.

Pulsar X2 CrazyLight: PRX Pacific Gold Edition key features

This mouse has a lot going for it, but its biggest highlight is undoubtedly its ultralight build. Weighing just 36 g for the mini and 39 g for the medium, the PRX Pacific Gold X2 CrazyLight is up there with the lightest gaming mice on the market. On top of that, its symmetrical shape with a low hump and wide waist should make for a comfortable experience during long gaming sessions.

In terms of performance, it uses Pulsar's flagship XS-1 sensor and optical switches as the original X2 CrazyLight (curr: $129.95 on Amazon). The sensor earned praise from Rtings for its low click latency and strong overall performance in their review of the original. It offers a maximum polling rate of 8000 Hz and an adjustable 32,000 DPI, putting it on the same level as the Razer Viper V3 Pro (curr: $159.97 on Amazon).

The X2 CrazyLight PRX Pacific Gold Edition is now available for preorder in Europe, Japan, and Korea. While it hasn’t launched in the US yet, it can be ordered through Pulsar’s global site for $139.95. Pulsar confirms that the mouse will be produced on a preorder-only basis, meaning it won’t be restocked once the window closes. Preorders are open until September 28, with shipping scheduled between late November and mid-December.
