The second generation of this award-winning tablet for children

Polaroid unveiled yesterday the second generation of its Android tablet designed for children simply called Kids Tablet 2. "Children will now have the opportunity to experience an award winning device similar in specs to their parents’ tablets, but designed specifically to their needs and pre-loaded with content they want from our new partners, Disney, Marvel and Cartoon Network." said Polaroid President and CEO Scott Hardy.

The Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 does not offer any high-end specs or features, but delivers more than enough considering its target audience:

  • Processor: dual-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A9
  • Memory/Storage: 1 GB DDR3 RAM; 8 GB internal memory and microSD support
  • Display: 7-inch capacitive HD multitouch with 1,024X600 pixels
  • Cameras: front and rear cameras (unspecifie
  • Connectivity: WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
  • Operating system: Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

This slate comes preloaded with over 70 popular digital products worth more than $100, including "the full versions of 25 top-rated books and apps from Disney, Marvel and Cartoon Network that feature some of the most beloved cartoon and comic book characters."

The Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 is already available in Toys “R” Us stores and online at www.toysrus.com for a resonable price of $149.
