OxygenOS 4.0.2 rolls out

OnePlus 3 Android smartphone now gets OxygenOS 4.0.2 update
OnePlus 3
As promised earlier this month, the new OxygenOS update comes to solve the Google Play store app download issue encountered by OxygenOS 4.0.1 users. The new firmware is compatible with the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T handsets.

A few weeks ago, OnePlus delivered Android Nougat to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T handsets. Dubbed OxygenOS 4.0, that major update was followed by version 4.0.1. Unfortunately, a major bug that affects the Google Play store arrived with it as well, so now a patch has just been issued. The new update is labeled OxygenOS 4.0.2 and takes care of this problem.

According to the official OnePlus forum, the only thing that has changed since OxygenOS 4.0.1 is the introduction of the fix for the Google Play store bug. For now, the WiFi connectivity fluctuation problem continues to appear for some users, so we think we will hear about OxygenOS 4.0.3 by the end of this month.

Just as its predecessor, this update comes via OTA and rolls out in stages. Those in a hurry can force a manual check by going to Settings > About phone > Software updates.
