Origin PC updates EON notebooks with Haswell processors
With Intel officially launching their line of Haswell processors, it's time for manufacturers to start churning out updated PCs . Maingear just added the 4th generation Intel CPUs across their line of devices, and Origin PC is next in line.
Kicking things off was the release of an updated 17.3" EON17-S and 15.6" EON15-S, which now feature the Haswell processors as well as the choice between NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, 770M, 765M or Quadro K1000M graphics. The gaming notebooks also come with dual mSATA drives with RAID support, factory CPU/GPU overclocking, full-HD resolutions and a renovated top-panel thats available in black, red, silver and other custom colors. Both devices are available immediately, starting at $1,722 for the 15S and $1,784 for the 17S.
The EON notebooks aren't the only Origin devices to receive Haswell either, as the entire range of GENESIS, MILLENNIUM and CHRONOS desktops can now be customized with Intel's latest. The new processors promise up to a 15% increase in performance along with a 20x reduction in idle power draw, and the refreshed machines can be purchased today from Origin PC with a free copy of GRID 2 included as a bonus.
