Oppo announces Joy 3 smartphone
Rumors of new Oppo devices have been growing these past few months. Nonetheless, the company had recently announced the Joy 3 smartphone to little fanfare.
The Joy 3 is the successor to the Joy Plus that launched earlier this year. Thus, it's still a budget offering through and through. The smartphone includes a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 resolution display, MediaTek MT6582 SoC, and 1 GB RAM. Internal memory is only 4 GB, though MicroSD cards are thankfully supported. Its rear and front cameras will be 5 MP and 2 MP, respectively.
Oppo has yet to announce retail pricing and launch regions for the Joy 3. However, the manufacturer has confirmed that the smartphone will run Android 4.4 with its own ColorOS 2.0 skin. Wireless features include 3G/UMTS, Bluetooth 4.0, and 802.11 b/g/n.
