The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has approved OnePlus' latest TWS earbuds for sale in markets such as the US. The group may also have dispelled any remaining mystery surrounding the accessories and what they can offer on their launch. These specs are likely to include an upgrade to noise cancellation and Bluetooth 5.3 when compared to their predecessors

OnePlus is now slated to launch new TWS earbuds soon, having been given the all clear by the FCC beforehand. The regulator has approved the new accessories to use Bluetooth - however, it has also revealed evidence that they have in fact been seen before.

The Commission's new test results include schematics and diagrams of these new OnePlus buds and their case, all of which bear an inescapable resemblance to the new Ace Buds that launched recently in China,  alongside the OEM's version of its new 11R smartphone for that market.

Any further investigation and confirmation is rendered unnecessary by the FCC's reveal of these buds' model number: E508A - exactly the same as the Ace Buds as sold on JD.com. They also have the same 480mAh case that contributes to ~36 hours of use between charges via USB type-C and, presumably, the same ingress-protection rating.

Therefore, should these buds drop Ace branding for the more global Nord name as currently suspected, they should also become the first of their line to enjoy noise-cancelling technology. OnePlus has yet to confirm that the audio products will launch as such, however, although it does have pre-order events coming up in April 2023.
