OnePlus 6 launching on May 21 for early adopters around the world

OnePlus has always been headstrong about its smartphones to make each launch as big as possible for maximum exposure. With the OnePlus 6 reveal set for May 16 in London, others around the world will also be getting a chance to check out the latest Android smartphone on May 21.

The Chinese manufacturer has announced plans for "pop-up events" in major cities worldwide including New York, San Francisco, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Paris, Berlin, and more all on the same day. The tour is intended to give the public a chance to walk in and go hands-on with the OnePlus 6 before it begins shipping online and even purchase a unit upfront in limited supplies. Of course, the usual "swag bag" of goodies will be promised to all participants.

Despite the huge marketing investment, OnePlus has yet to reveal the actual price of its next flagship smartphone. Early rumors are claiming that it could be OnePlus' most expensive smartphone yet at $600, but the manufacturer could always throw a curve ball and undercut rumors. The OnePlus 5T recently stopped shipping in Europe and India to suggest that the OnePlus 6 will launch very soon after its official unveling.
