OnePlus 3 confirmed for June 15th unveiling
The OnePlus 3 launch rumors can be put to rest as all should be revealed this coming June 15th thanks to an official confirmation through a Weibo post. The launch event will take place in Shenzhen, China, otherwise known as the tech hub of the country.
As previously reported, users around the world can participate in the event through VR assuming that they have the compatible hardware. The OnePlus 3 is expected to be available the day after the announcement in its home country and then gradually exported to regions around the world. The OnePlus 3 was already spotted at TENAA for wireless certification before public availability.
Core specifications include a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 3000 mAh battery, 16 MP and 8 MP rear and front cameras, and 4 to 6 GB of RAM depending on the SKU. Prices could be as low as 300 Euros, which would make it the least expensive smartphone with a Snapdragon 820 SoC. The OnePlus 2 launched with a tepid response due to its middle-of-the-road hardware, unfriendly "Invite only" purchasing system, and pre-launch "flagship killer" hype.
