The latest software update for the Galaxy Watch, Gear S3, and Gear Sport is now rolling out over-the-air. The new One UI firmware comes with improved sleep and workout tracking, an updated settings menu, the ability to turn on and off the sleeping mode, as well as various minor tweaks and fixes.

Samsung introduced the One UI for smart wearables earlier this year when the Galaxy Watch Active became the first device to receive the update. Now, the time has come for three other smart wearables that carry the name of the tech giant based in South Korea to get the same treatment. These devices are the Galaxy Watch, Gear S3, and Gear Sport.

In addition to the new user interface, the new firmware update comes with some new watch faces that were introduced alongside the Galaxy Watch Active, as well as the following:

  • Improved workout tracking with a workout profile for outdoor swimming.
  • Enhanced sleep tracking.
  • High heart rate alerts.
  • Faster workout tracking.
  • Battery life improvements.
  • Various minor tweaks and fixes.

The One UI update brings the following firmware versions to the Galaxy Watch, Gear S3, and Gear Sport: R800XXU1CSE1, R760XXU2ESE3, and R600XXU1CSE2. The update is rolling out over-the-air, and since such updates usually arrive in stages, some might receive the new firmware in a few days while others might be running it already.

Are you a Galaxy Watch/Gear S3/Gear Sport user? Have you managed to update your wearable already? As usual, feel free to drop a quick comment below.
