OPPO is thought to launch an X6 series of flagship smartphones based on the new top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Now, thanks to a new leak, they are said to have a sibling with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC instead. It has allegedly been certified by Chinese authorities ahead of its launch.

The closely-related BBK Electronics brands OPPO and OnePlus have 2023 flagship Android smartphones that seem to share the model number convention PHx110 in 2023. Now, the latest example of these, the PHS110, has reportedly been filed with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) as a 5G device in what might be one of its last leaks prior to its debut.

In an interesting twist, its alleged registration has led to a leak with a twist: that this Find X6 variant has the Dimensity 9200 SoC rather than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with which the series is also closely linked. As there was a corresponding edition of the Find X5 Pro, that might indeed be plausible.

According to the reliable leaker WHYLAB, this second-gen "Dimensity Edition" will have 8 or 12GB of RAM, with 256GB of internal storage, and, like the Find X2 Pro before it, have "orange leather" as a finish option. Then again, neither it nor its putative Qualcomm-based siblings have been officially confirmed as yet.
