NoteSlate dual-color display tablet coming soon

Teaser
The 13-inch tablet is aimed at selling as digital note-taking device

NoteSlate is a completely new name in the computing industry, and what the company has up for offer for the very first time are pretty unusual dual-color slates! The ultra-cheap dual-color touch tablets will be available in a variety of display color combinations. Some of them will have a standard white background with a black text, while there are 4 different models with black backgrounds and blue, white, green, or red text and pictures. The purpose of the NoteSlate tablet is as a digital note-taking device with which one can take notes with a stylus and press buttons to save, delete, or view previous screens.

The company also has intentions for a quad-color version which will show blue, red, green, or white text and drawings on a black background, although these models are going to cost more. Talking of the hardware, the NoteSlate tablet will have a 13-inch, 750 x 1080 pixel display and will weigh about 0.5-pound. The tablet also has a company-claimed battery life of up to 180 hours.

Apart from making drawings, also in the feature-list is the ability to listen to MP3s using headphones, while support for reading PDF files and OCR text recognition for converting written notes to plain text will be added in the near future. This nifty new device has its $99 price tag as the USP, which is a good buy for its features. But for people wanting to get their hands on it, you will have to wait until June this year.
