Nokia says it is not planning a tablet yet
The World’s largest mobile phone makers by volume, Nokia so far doesn’t have any concrete plans to offer tablet computers. This was according to the Finland based Company’s Chief Executive Stephen Elop.
He also added that they were studying the Market carefully which will perhaps lead to some tablet later while he was interviewed on a Finnish public broadcaster YLE on Sunday.
However in November, Les Echos, a French newspaper, cited Paul Amsellem, a top official of Nokia in France saying that Nokia plans to have a tablet computer using Microsoft’s Windows 8 phone platform, which is expected to arrive by June 2012.
Later Elop also confirms that the Headquarters will stay in Espoo, Finland. He said there’s no doubt in this decision till he is appointed as the CEO, as there are a lot of talents in Finland. He also added that the key product development units and leaders are also in Finland.
