Asus presents its G70
Asus officially presents its new gaming laptop G70 with complete technical specification.
Asus already presented its G70, but not its technical specification. This fact changed, because Asus published an official press release.
The gaming notebook G70 is available with different CPU’s. It can be equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo T8100, T8300, T9300 or T9500 or an Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000 processor. Furthermore, up to 4 GB DDR II is possible.
The 17” display provides either WUXGA or WXGA+ resolution and gets supported by two Nvidia GeForce 8700M GT SLI graphic cards with a sum of 1.024 MB VRAM (compareable to only 512 MB as the data has to be stored twice). The mass storage device consists of one or two SATA hard disks and its size is between 250 and 640 GB.
The optical drive is a Super Multi DVD burner, but optionally a BluRay drive or BluRay burner is available. Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n are installed for wireless communication. Furthermore, there are included a 2.0 mega pixel webcam and gigabit LAN.
The Asus G70 gets shipped with Windows Vista, but no word about when it will be available or its price.
