Packard Bell iPower GX
Laptop for hardcore gamers
Packard Bell extends its iPower gaming laptop series with the new iPower GX. As expected, it has a 17-inch 1920 x 1200 HD screen (it's a gaming laptop) and is powered by Intel's new Core 2 Quad processor Q9100. Combined with NVIDIA's GeForce 9800M GTS with 1GB of dedicated GDDR3 VRAM it should deliver amazing performance. The 17-inch screen supports full HD and allows users to fully enjoy the quality of a blu-ray disc, at the highest resolution.
Other features include up to 4GB of system memory and 640GB of storage space (two 320GB hard drives), 1.3 MP webcam, gigabit LAN, Wi-Fi (N) networking, 3 USB ports, 1 FireWire port, a 5-in-1 card reader and optional Bluetooth. Security features include a built-in fingerprint reader. A 9-cell battery is optional.
It will be available in Europe starting October for an estimated price of €1,499.
