Asus Eee PC 1005PE now comes with a matte lid
Those of you hated the glossy one because of the dirt, this one comes as a respite
The Asus Eee PP 1005PE is the latest Pinetrail netbook from the Taiwanese computer manufacturing giant. This netbook got a very good review when came out (check out our in-depth review of the same). Still some people loved to hate it because of the stark black glossy lid. Although this gives the laptop a playful image, but the glossy surface also attracts a lot of fingerprints and grease that tend to look very embarrassing under light. Now Asus apparently made the 1005PE available with a blue matte lid also – as reported by Netbooked. This model has a blue matte lid with a dotted texture, which looks much less glamorous than the black glossy version, but stays cleaner at the end of the day.
The textured model is already available in other countries, but has been made available only recently in the US. You can order one from Amazon.com.
