The IT-producer is the first to present integrated UMTS which follows the HSUPA standard at the 3GSM.

Fujitsu Siemens Computers present a notebook  which supports the new UMTS standard HSUPA (High Speed Upload Package Access) at the 3GSM in Barcelona. The LIFEBOOK with HSUPA can be seen during the whole exhibition (12. to 15. February 2007) at the stand of Sierra Wireless: The Avenue, Stand AV99.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers is the first producer who is able to present the new HSUPA standard live. Whilst the UMTS-Standard HSDPA (High Speed Download Package Access) speeds up the download from the Internet to up to 7,2 MBit/s, the speed during upload, i.e. sending of commands and data, is slower. HSUPA makes an upload speed of up to 1,4 MBit/s possible.

First Fujitsu Siemens Computers notebooks with integrated UMTS following the HSUPA standard will be available in summer.
