Unlimited 3G mobile broadband for US $39

DataJack will allegedly launch its service at CES in January of 2010

The company DataJack, based in Dallas, USA will reportedly soon introduce an unlimited 3G mobile broadband service. Supposedly, customers will not be required to sign the popular 2-year contracts with limited (e.g. 5GB per month) data transfer anymore after DataJack officially launches at CES in January of the upcoming year.

This offering comes with a stylish USB modem which costs US $99.99. This product will house a micro-SD slot and can be used as an external storage device with a capacity of up to 32GB.

What I find appealing about this new service is that there are apparently no additional fees and no contract. Customers can sign-up and pre-pay on a monthly basis. Allegedly, if you use this service for a whole year (12 consecutive months), you get one month of surfing the Internet for free.

The “High Speed Internet Access” by DataJack is reportedly available nationwide (USA) and will cost you US $39.99 per month. According to the company, it “works seamlessly across DataJack's 3G Broadband Network and EDGE networks to keep you covered”.

The company says, that the speed of the unlimited 3G Internet is up to 7.2Mbps (download) and up to 5.76Mbps (upload). Let the surfing begin!
