New Kingston Memory: DDR2 667-MHz (PC2-6400)
With an eye on next year’s Yonah release, Kingston has released its first mobile specific DDR2 667-MHz (PC2-6400) memory modules.
The Kingston ValueRAM 667-MHz DDR2 unbuffered SO-DIMM modules are available in 256MB (£36 inc. VAT), 512MB (£56) and 1GB (£102), capacities, and are available now.
It’s worth remembering only the ATi Xpress 200M chipset readily supports this memory at the moment, which isn’t exactly a common laptop occurrence. So, anyone trying to run it in their standard machine will be looking at overclocking issues – which we don’t recommend.
