Asus Eee PC with new battery

Asus replaced the battery of its Eee PC with a new and more compact one. The capacity of the new standard battery is not as high as the capacity of the older one (which is still available as an accessory).

The Asus Eee PC sells well, and there are still supply difficulties and devices are sold out. This is a consequence of supply difficulties of some components. Asus wants to compensate this fact by replacing the existing battery with a new more compact one.
The new battery has a lower capacity than its predecessor, and it is 4.400 milliampere hours instead of 5.200 milliampere hours. The overall battery runtime gets reduced by this fact, but it should not be very much.
The price of the Eee PC is going to be still € 299 and the availability shall increase too.
