All new HP DV8 specs revealed
The Core i7 powered entertainment machine
A couple of weeks ago, one of our team members reported that HP is planning to launch some new notebook models namely the DM3 and the DV8. Now, we have confirmed news that the HP DV8 will come home to the users as revealed by a product listing page on HP's official website. The new HP DV8 notebook will bring entertainment to life with its bigger 18.4-inch HD Ultra Brite view display having a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and its amazing audio quality thanks to the Altec Lansing speakers with integrated subwoofer and Dolby Home theater.
Not only this, the system also packs some decent amount of computing power thanks to the all new 1.6GHz Intel Core i7-720QM processor which can be bumped up to 2.8GHz using Intel's Turbo technology. Under the hood users will find the following:
- Up to 8GB RAM
- Nvidia GeForce GT230 GPU with 1GB of virtual memory
- Up to 640GB @7200rpm HDD
- Ethernet, WiFi 802.11a/g/n, and Bluetooth
- Lightscribe Blu-ray ROM with supermulti DVD double layer drive
- Integrated TV tuner
- 5-in-1 card reader
- Integrated FingerPrint reader
- Windows 7 operating system
It seems as if this version of the HP DV8 is just an entry level model and users can expect more power packed versions of the DV8 especially the one's with a Quad Core Extreme Core i7 processor. The pricing and availability of this model is still unknown.
