HP equips notebooks with BluRay drive

The manufacturer HP updated its Pavilion notebook series. Those laptops are available with BluRay drive (optionally) and HD DVD drives aren’t longer available.

HP updated its Pavilion laptop series. There are three new product lines: the dv2800 series, the dv6800 series, and the dv9800 series. Those 14.1”, 15.4” and 17” notebooks are going to be equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU or an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor. Choosing between an integrated graphic card, and an Nvidia GeForce 8400M respectively 8600M is possible. The 17” dv9800 can be equipped with a BluRay burner, and the other ones with a BluRay ROM.

Furthermore, HP updated its Pavilion HDX-9000 series. The HDX-9300 is going to be equipped with an Intel Penryn CPU (either T8100 or T9300), and an Nvidia GeForce 8800M GTS graphic card. 3 GB RAM are built in too.

The Tablet PC series tx2300 got updated as well. Those notebooks are going to be equipped with an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 CPU and 2 GB RAM. The included graphic card is an Nvidia GeForce Go 6150, and a DVD-RW drive is built in too.

No word about availability and price so far. Only thing we know is, that those updates concern to the European market.
