The new Micron SSD’s of the series RealSSD will be available in 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch and they are made for business users. The P200 models are equipped with an SLC-memory and the manufacturer says that they offer writing and reading speeds of 250 MB/sec.

The C200 models are based on MLC chips and are made for laptops. They reach a reading speed of 250 MB/sec like the P200 models do, but they only provide a writing speed of 100 MB/sec.

Both solid state drives are connected to the computer by using the SATA 2 port and they offer disk sizes between 16 GB and 256 GB.

The new solid state drives will be available in the 4th quarter of 2008, but no word on prices so far.
