Compal Electronics to manufacture it
In August 2009, Nokia announced the Booklet 3G – its first netbook. This new product was equipped with Intel’s Atom processor, came with a 10-inch display, Wi-Fi and 3G/HSPA connectivity and weighed 1.25kg.
According to EDN (Chinese-language Economic Daily News) after the strong demand for the Booklet 3G demonstrated after its release, Nokia decided to use this impetus and introduce a new netbook in 2010. Allegedly, it will be manufactured by their partner Compal Electronics.
Nevertheless, it was not reported why specifically the Taiwan-based notebook maker will receive the orders.
