Former CTO of OLPC wants to develop a $ 75-notebook
The former CTO of One Laptop per Child wants to create an own notebook for children.
The internet news site TechConnect reported that the former CTO of OLPC Mary Lou Jepsen wants to create her own low-budget notebook. The laptop should be cheaper than the notebook from OLPC and will cost only $ 75,-. She wants to develop this laptop in collaboration with Pixel Qi. Surely she has got the know-how, because she developed most of the energy saving functions of the OLPC notebook. She also wants to incorporate that knowledge when developing new computers or handheld devices, to increase more efficient handling of energy.
