Intel: Intel introduces Wi-Di technology

The chip-maker recently introduced the technology with the help of a new Atom powered tablet

Intel Corporation recently unleashed its path breaking Wi-Di (pronounced Wide Eye) technology at a recent event. The technology was demonstrated at the Intel Developer Forum a couple of days ago by way of an Atom equipped Tablet with Wi-Di capabilities wherein the device videos and similar content was replicated from the Tablet onto a large display television.

The technology adopted here is that of Wireless Display wherein premium quality reproduction of digital video as well as audio output is possible sans cumbersome wires. The only setback seen during the demo was that of a slight lag, barring which the content was successfully streamed onto the large screen from the tablet.

There is no official word from the company as to when exactly the technology will be out in the market or the price tag that would be attached to the same, but with the public demo that’s already making news, it has surely taken its juvenile steps in the right direction.
