Shortage of notebooks batteries should end in 3rd quarter

"Supply difficulties of notebook batteries should end in 3rd quarter of this year", says Simplo chairman.

The fire in LG Chem in Korea at March 3rd of 2008 caused a lot of supply difficulties with laptop batteries. According to Fu-hsang, chairman of Simplo, "The current situation should change during the 3rd quarter, and reach normality."

Jerry Shen, Asus CEO, speculated that Asus would have sold more than 5 million Eee PCs when this supply difficulities would not be present.
